How do you measure Success?

Updated: Sep 4, 2021

There are so many ways to measure your success without being hung up on numbers.

Looking at this from a health and fitness perspective, Precision Nutrition offer 7 other ways to track your success:

1. You feel satisfied after meals which means you’ve probably learned to eat slowly and until satisfied and that you are eating whole foods. Processed foods are full of ‘stuff’ and yummy salty/sweet/fat/crunchy/cream tastes that make you want to keep eating but don’t offer much nutritional value and make you want to just keep putting more and more into your mouth.

2. You have more energy ….. because you are consuming more vitamins, minerals and other nutrients and your body is no longer deficient in the things it needs to function. Plus it’s not dealing with the toxins of the processed food at the same time.

3. You’re sleeping better – maybe because you’ve cut down on caffeine and alcohol, you don’t have sugar running through your body at bedtime, you’re not stuffed to the gills when you go to bed and maybe because you are exercising more.

4. Your clothes feel better (looser or tighter – whichever your goal is).

5. Your mood is better. Again this could be because you are getting the right nutrients to keep your brain healthy and your emotions on an even keel. It could be because you are eating regular meals and not getting ‘Hangry’. It could be because you are sleeping better.

6. You are stronger and have more endurance.

7. It now feels more like a lifestyle than a diet. Eating well seems natural and not a chore, just part of your daily life. It’s no longer a ‘thing’ that you have to make an effort to do.

So how do you measure success? Can you think of a few more ways?
